Also the browser act like multitasking, you can't really run it in the background, but you can run things on top of it. In the browser menu, you can choose Swap and you get 5 options: New Call, Phone Book, Messages, Datebook and Multimedia menu. Even when downloading files.
Camera and video camera can be operate (with the hot key) from almost everywhere (except java application or video call, witch is already working... pressing on the camera button will start to record the video call as mp4 file).
The phone act like USB mass storage device when it connected to the computer, you can transfer files from and to the phone, without having any trouble with the phones, not even a small delay. Or as data modem, and again, working perfectly.
Buttom line, maybe my phone is not a smart phone, and the multi-tasking is not real multi-tasking, but running music in the background is not the only thing the phone can do. One of the resones I buy Motorola phone is because you can minimized Java gamea and application (work really great with opera mini, don't have to quit to make a phone call, or even stop playing tetris and start all over again) can continue to work from wherever you stop.
To Do: I would like to check I put Java and Apps under Multimedia menu, if it work under the browser, I think it would work, running downloaded java game, occur over the browser, and when the game ended, the browser back to last page, no need to start over the browser)
This Friday was very interesting. I had a free day and I decided to walk in the morning. For several weeks I don't carry my Canon with me, only my cellphone. So, all my photos are low resolution and low quality.
Anyway, I do some walking today, and finally I capture a photo from the most interesting advertising banner. "Bank Hapoalim" for Israel 60 Independence day. I really like the baby hand touch the Holocaust surviver.
Later this day, when I done my trip I take the kids to the pack for an hour. Then I had to drive to the college to sign-up for the new year. I took my father car and GPS, and yes, I am hopeless, even with the GPS I got lost :( I get to the right direction but I was not able to find the place. after 20 minutes of driving and asking people park the car. Even the trip back home. the annoying GPS took me to the downtown adding me extra 20 minutes of driving.
After eating (at home finally) I get a phone call from my dad to fix broken PLC, again on the road until I get to the farm and fix the broken source code (that I write before, but don't test it).
Only at 10pm I am able to finally to rest and do some stuff on the computer. Although I still have more work to do. I want to finish rate my songs and add album art to some songs and tag my recent photos.
BTW, yesterday we celebrate Lag Ba'Omer, when I do the morning walking I see the sun (in the sunrise) totally red from all the smoke from the bonfires. And its the first day that I see more then 2-3 people in the early morning. I see dozens of kids around the bonfires.
I think I able to fix some problem I experienced with BOINC and my Windows Vista. I don't know how BOINC working on Windows XP or any other operation system, but in my computer (using Vista) I had trouble to connect to the web and download new task or even upload completed task. I had to stop all activities (both processor use and network), restart the service and then re operate the network and the processor use.
Lately the network activity was always off until I turn it on to send and received tasks. I found my self forget to do it, leaving me with all tasks finished and ready to upload. After few incidents I decided to change the additional work buffer to 3 days instead of 1.
The manual updating was really horrible. Until I thought about a better solution. I leave the network activities on "based on preferences" and change the "Network usage allowed" to every day between hours of 20:00 and 22:00 (usually my computer already working and connected to the web). For over a week it is working great. I'm not touching the BOINC client at all (only to check my statistics).
I think the problem occur because the BOINC service try to connect to the web even before the computer done loading. I think any router or any other always connected internet access will solve the problem.
For now, I am leaving with harmony with my BOINC
